With two peewees running around, I am not able to update this as often as I would like, but that does not mean the Bedford madness has dwindled. Actually, the more babies that join the family, the more madness that will occur. And this last Easter, we found out some news from Wes & Kristen that ensured that the Bedford madness would continue....
The background story to the following video is that we were on a family Easter egg hunt and Kristen just called my dad back to look at the eggs she found. Little did my dad know what Kristen's real eggs were really doing at that very moment (too graphic?? the pun was just too good to pass up)
Wes & Kristen had told the rest of us earlier that day by telling us they needed a family picture for their adoption profile. We all gathered to take a picture and as Wesley snaps the photo he tell us Kristen is pregnant. In the craziness of our reactions, this is the only proof we got...
ANYWAY, back to the Easter celebrations...
We started the fun off with an Easter egg dying contest. My mom probably thought this would be a fun way for us to get creative and have fun. I'm not sure this is what she had in mind...
Yes, at the top you will see a sperm chasing an egg.
Yes, the sperm has a mustache.
Following these funtivities (and no, I'm not REALLY sure this was the order of events, so for those of you who were there, don't judge that my order is probably all wrong)
But next was a cleverly written poem by my mom to direct us on an Easter egg hunt around Copper Creek to old friend's houses.
It's only natural that we had to pick up the eggs we found with our mouths right?
Hint #1:
This first clue is
easy, there are no tricks,
This guy and this girl’s
dad took everyone’s pics.
Hint #2:
This guy was one of
the tallest on the team,
But basketball was
only his dad’s dream.
Hint #3:
This person hired you
to play games with youngsters.
All of those kids
almost made you go bonkers.
Hint #4:
We love this whole
family, all four (plus one more).
We love them so much
we practically moved next door.
Then we were off to Easter egg hunt numero dos.
This traditional Bedford Easter Egg Hunt consists of the following...we dye dozens of eggs, write a number on them, then my dad hides them (this year he hid them along a hiking trail at Catalina State Park and many rules were enlisted as to who gets to be at the front of the line etc. Other plastic eggs filled with money were also hid) It must also be noted that at the end of our hike we were each to share a spiritual/uplifting message to celebrate the true meaning of Easter. After all the eggs were found we head home for the "prizes". Each Easter egg corresponds with a different "prize". These could include money, toys, food, or inflictions. The creator of the list of course is the old Papa Bear and so you can see for yourself some of the things he enjoyed thinking up...
Introducing: The Hunters
Our spiritual message break at the top of the trail
(gotta bring it back to the real meaning of Easter sometime)
You will never know what this picture represents.
The "Prizes"
(AKA Consequences):
...I think they are all pretty self explanatory...
